To Whom It May Concern:
As a hard-working and dependable senior at Loras College, I am applying for the Sales Assistant internship during this 2013 fall term that I heard about through Erin Bloomquist. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this position and my candidacy with you.
Currently majoring in Art and Digital Design and minoring in Public Relations, I have gained knowledge designing with programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Muse, as well as several others. My experiences at Loras have exposed me to many different art forms. My strong suits fall in the logo design, web work, packaging, and illustration work. This knowledge has brought me many great opportunities outside of the classroom. Last semester I created a logo for Wheat Ridge Industries located in Denton, Texas to use on their new line of cab over engine trucks, as well as built a website for The Burger Barn, located in Elkader, Iowa. During my coursework and labs I have practiced and refined skills such as: time management, cliental work, group work, and development of multi-tasking skills. These skills have also been utilized during my years in the work force. I have gained a great deal of experience in customer service while working as a server for The Burger Barn, Applebee’s Dubuque, and at Eagle Ridge Spa and Resort as well as in retail while working for Old Navy Dubuque and for the Dubuque Regional Humane Society. Realizing the importance of these skills in the job market, I can appreciate the importance of earning a minor in Public Relations, and it will benefit and enhance my future beyond college.
I am excited to tell you more about my background and how my creativity can benefit the Bon Appetit Magazine team. I am anxious to start putting my knowledge to use and gain more experience in the work and sales and advertisement field. I can be reached at (563) 880- 6102 or at kb460511@loras.edu.
Thank you
for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Sincerely,
Kelsey
